Groundbreaking “Perfect Pitch Barbie” Here to Tell You She Has Perfect Pitch
Leading global toy manufacturer Mattel has set the stage on fire with the latest addition to their iconic Barbie franchise: “Perfect Pitch Barbie”.
The Perfect Pitch Barbie package embodies independence with the empowering quote: “I don’t need my note!” Adorned in a bedazzled gold gown and sporting a treble clef tattoo on her left shoulder, this Barbie comes with her own miniature floating ego and is equipped with her own pedestal.
Perfect Pitch Barbie is one of Mattel’s rare talking dolls. Her features include unsolicited exclamations of “Did I mention I have perfect pitch?” and identifying every pitch and/or harmony she hears –
guitar strums, car alarms, and everything in between.
Mattel appears to have put the “perfect” in Perfect Pitch Barbie, because the innovative creation is flying off the shelves.
“Honestly, after Teen Talk Barbie, we were a little nervous about releasing another speaking Barbie,” confided Mattel employee Canada Venice. “But our customers with perfect pitch seem to really resonate with this new doll. One budding musician told me that she wants to be just like her piano teacher when she grows up and it feels amazing to find a Barbie that reflects her: someone whose entire identity is centered around having perfect pitch. We also have adult collectors who purchase Perfect Pitch Barbie because with her by their side, they can more easily display their exceptional aural skills in their day-to-day lives.”
Perfect Pitch Barbie has also been a hit in Barbieland, where the other Barbies have warmly embraced her and continue to build each other up.
“It’s incredible every time Barbie tells me what pitch it is when my earrings jingle or someone’s phone rings. I could never do that! By sharing her invaluable ability so generously, she has truly impacted all of our lives,” gushed Nobel Prize-winner Physicist Barbie.
“Barbie has transformed beach,” Ken emphatically informed Stay Tuned. “Now that I know the names of the notes of the sounds around me, it’s taken my job to a new level of coolness.”
Perfect Pitch Barbie has yet to win over Weird Barbie, however, who feels slightly threatened by the new Barbie’s presence in the Barbie Universe.
“She makes me seem less weird. And that’s literally my defining trait.”
